Accelerated Learning

Whether you are a busy professional, a parent boosting a child’s confidence, or an elite racer refining tactics, our private lessons offer the ultimate flexible pathway. The beauty of private coaching is its complete flexibility.

You can book a single, ad-hoc session to brush up on a specific technique, or commit to a recurring weekly schedule to continuously build your skills. We offer immense flexibility during weekdays, making it easy to slip a 2-Hour lesson in around work or school hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to own a boat to book a private lesson?

It depends on your level! For all standard private lessons (including Tackers, Adult Learn to Sail, and Windsurfing) we provide all the necessary club boats, boards, and safety equipment. However, if you are booking High-Performance Coaching for advanced academy fleets (like Optimist or ILCA), you are required to use your own vessel.

Can private lessons help my child prepare for school sailing programs or scholarships?

Yes, absolutely! Many parents utilise our one-on-one coaching specifically to fast-track their children’s skills to meet specific sailing requirements for school scholarships. Because private lessons offer dedicated attention from our qualified instructors, we can tailor the session to focus exactly on the techniques and confidence-building your child needs to comfortably join a school program or achieve their next accreditation level.

When can I book, and how much notice is required?

We offer excellent availability for private lessons during the week. Because our weekends are highly sought-after and often busy with club racing, weekend slots book out quickly. To ensure we maintain our strict safety and instructor-to-student ratios, all private lesson bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Can I bring a friend or family member to my private lesson?

Absolutely! We can easily accommodate a 2-on-1 “semi-private” lesson, which is a fantastic, cost-effective way for siblings to learn together in an Optimist, or for two adults to share the fun in a double-handed Pacer dinghy. Just let us know your requirements when submitting your booking enquiry.
