WSC Youth Spring Series (17 Oct – 5 Dec 2026)
Set sail this spring with the WSC Youth Spring Series—eight action-packed race days on Sydney Harbour, bringing together young sailors from Ascham, Cranbrook, Scots and invited WSC members. With competitive fleets, up to three races each day and a thrilling Finals & Presentation day, it’s the perfect series to build skills, confidence and racing experience.
Rules & Eligibility
- Racing will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), Australian Sailing Special Regulations
Part 2 (Off the Beach Boats), and RMS/NSW Maritime Regulations. - Open to students of Ascham, Cranbrook and Scots schools and to invited financial members of WSC.
- Competitors must enter electronically on the WSC website prior to racing. Competitors failing to
complete online entry will not be scored.
Invited Classes
Optimist Open, Optimist Intermediate, Laser (ILCA 4/6/7), Pacer, and 29er.

The first warning signal on each race day will be at 12:00 PM.
Racing Area & Scoring
- Racing Area: Sydney Harbour waters east of Fort Denison and south of the Sow and Pigs Reef.
- Scoring System: Low Point Scoring System. Minimum 3 starters per division required to constitute a race.
- Discards: One race result is discarded for every 5 completed races. Average points may be
requested in writing for competitors attending sanctioned State, National, or World Championship
events.
