- Conor Roche: Conor Roche, sailing from WSC since 2018. Passionate sailor in ILCA dinghies and yacht racing; and supportive father of ILCA daughter and Optimist son who, like me, both sail from WSC. Sailing achievements include multiple championship podium wins in yacht racing in US, Europe, and Worlds. I am an avid supporter of philanthropic efforts in education and sport which includes my role as a Non-Executive Director of The Irish Sailing Foundation which raises funding for Irish sailors in European, World and The Olympic Games. My day job: Executive Chairman of Woodford Capital DAC. An investment company which has interests in renewable energy (NTR plc), infrastructure, luxury hospitality (The Doyle Collection), real estate, and other investments.

I have been involved in committee work focused on increasing club capacity, improving member engagement and participation, and strengthening our ability to host regattas. Through this work, I have developed a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the club and its members. I am committed to supporting the strategic priorities identified through the club’s strategic review, with a focus on sustainable growth, participation, member engagement, and strengthening our club capability. I would welcome the opportunity to continue to contribute my experience, energy and commitment as a WSC Board member and help shape the club’s future.
- Martin Gravare: Olympic Sailor. Multiple Championship title holder including 1 Worlds. Swedish America’s Cup Team General Manager 2005-2007. Woollahra Sailing Club Member since 2015. My strengths are financial and risk management and all sorts of treasury activities. I am good at making institutions financially sustainable. If elected as Director of WSC, I will focus on getting the club’s finances back on track, while promoting the objectives of the club as stated in the constitution: Promote the sport of sailing, train and coach members and guests, host and promote sailing, provide social and sporting activities and create a friendly atmosphere at the club and on the water. I deeply care about providing members of all backgrounds, ages, and ability levels with the right facilities and services to enjoy sailing and related water sports. To achieve this, it will be essential to re-focus our effort on core activities that will help grow our membership.
